We use the Certified Financial PlannerTM Six-Step Financial Planning Process, outlined here, as our basic framework, modified to suit each client’s individual needs and situation. No plan is engraved in stone. It’s a dynamic, evolving blueprint to achieve your goals.
1. Identify objectives and set goals
We give our best advice when we know where you want to go. If you’re not sure, we’ll help you define your goals and the resources you’ll need to reach them.
2. Gather all relevant personal information
We give our best advice when have the whole picture. In many cases, we point out how seemingly irrelevant information -- like how you like to spend your free time – factors in financial decision-making.
3. Analyze and evaluate your current situation
We can best help you get to where you want to be if we know where you stand today. Analyzing your current assets and investment strategy (if any) against your goals helps us recommend the best path forward.
4. Develop a financial plan to reach your goals
We put all the parts of your financial picture into a well thought-out plan. We understand that life often veers off plan. With finances, there’s a degree of predictability we can rely on to steers us back on track.
5. Implement the plan
Consider us your architect and contractor in one. After we’ve designed a plan you’re happy with, we’ll provide the impetus to put the plan in motion. Whether it be consolidating your assets into a centralized portfolio, introducing you to an estate planning attorney so you can finally work on your will, or whatever else you need, we’re here to keep things moving.
6. Review periodically and revise as needed
With our world’s rapid pace of change, managing your financial plan has to be an iterative process. By routinely reviewing the performance of your investments against industry benchmarks, we can gauge if your portfolio is still on course or if we need to make adjustments.
